Our branding phase started with an idea: Own less, do more and the vision to easily share brand new and premium equipment from all industries amoung do-ers of the city of Amsterdam.


Bob Is Your Uncle

Starting of with the essence of the brand we set of to revamp the old logo, a hexagon with the brand name in the centre. 

Inspired by the simplicity of the business concept: the facilitation of every day people getting industry standard tools in a sustainable way. This can be reflected in the simple, yet bold font together with the updated core hexagon element. Representing the technicality of the tools by the shape of a bolt with a room in the centre. 

A logo with the home as a foundation and users outside-the-box thinking. As easy as that, Bob’s your uncle.


Inspiring independence

When it came to the branding itself we needed to come up with something that would make a startup stand out and reach the right audience.  

Something bold that would make anyone confident and inspired to take on their own projects. To energise, push boundaries and encourage users. 

And not the least breaking out of norms, providing users with tools that allow them to realise their own capabilities. 

Re-purposing the strong foundation of the logo element in patterns and graphical elements, it serves as a reminder of the home and users self-reliance at it’s core.


Bringing clarity

Being a startup makes it extra important to be able to pitch your business quickly. This sometimes requires inspiring and detailed illustrations to go with the bold claims.


The app & it’s visual efficiency

When bringing the branding to the app it was crucial to find a balance of the bold design language and the accessibility of the interface. Focusing the bright colors around the important parts like call to actions, to draw the users eyes in.

For the app experience itself the user would be guided from browsing products from a wide range, to making and managing their order.


The new sustainable

With a thorough and explorative branding process we managed to break norms of what sustainability has to be. 

It’s not only about a green label, but also about encouragement and making people believe that they are capable of anything.

With a well thought through design, we can remove the pressure of commitment and adding a sense of freedom to take on anything.
