Italian restaurant designed to best serve its USP: traditional Neapolitan food and mozzarella produced to order from Southern Italy. Novel to Germany, the founder of Mozzamo wanted to raise awareness for the variety and high quality culture of mozzarella to Munich through a dedicated Mozarella bar. For the ‘amo’ of mozzarella, Mozzamo needed an identity for everyone to remember. With a beautiful location - a stone’s throw away from Munich’s Nymphenburger castle - Mozzamo wows from the moment you step in. Red brick walls frame the open kitchen and warm dining space for a lush loft feeling. Feeling at home, and surrounded by Italian goodness is what Aslan Celik wanted for his new concept.

SMAL’s recipe for success was a careful step-by-step formula mixed with the implementation of our design and development methodologies. Workshops to define the USP, to pinpoint Aslan’s philosophy, create a brand strategy and to ideate about the fantasized outcome became the exact preparations needed for Mozzamo’s success.

Our final dish up was a clean representative logo, timeless and unique to its concept. A high quality approach to colors and materials used reflecting the high quality used for the foods, beverages and services. The corporate identity created was extended into tangible aspects: offset printed menus for a haptic experience, mixed with copper details to link back to high quality and traditional cooking. The colour gray is also one of the recurring colors throughout the restaurant.

Marketing materials were served in the form of authentic imagery shot at the restaurant itself. To allow everyone to enjoy the Mozzamo brand that we created together with entrepreneur Aslan, we developed an optimized website with a custom made reservation tool embedded. The dessert we all ordered and enjoyed was that of the rave reviews - come and ‘gustare e godere’ with us to see for yourself!
